Welcome!

It is our mission to find each and every animal that comes into our shelter a home.  You can be a big part of this process by adopting your new family member from us!  Our animals come from various sources, such as stray animals or animals from private homes where the owner can no longer care for them. Many of them have been neglected or abandoned, but love can make a big difference in their lives.

If you have lost your pet, please click on the tab labeled stray/lost and follow the link to view all of the animals currently being housed at our facility.  If you see your pet, please write down the ID # and give us a call at 256-492-0801 for more information.  After seven days, the stray animals are evaluated and placed in our adoption program.  If you’re looking for a new pet, feel free to check the lost/stray link to see what we have.  Give us a call for more information if you see something you’re interested in and we’ll update you on the status of the pet.  We also have a Facebook page where we post animals, events and updates for the shelter.  We don’t have the manpower to post every adoptable animal on the Facebook page so we always direct people to the lost/stray link to see all the animals.  This ensures that no animal is overlooked by a family looking for a new family member.
